Sometimes after we lose weight, we may notice that our thigh fat continues to be there. This is no problem actually because the legs are a very easy part of the body to lose fat from. The reason for this is that most leg exercises don’t require any weights. If you are already on a diet, you can just incorporate the following tips into it. I would say the best way to go about losing thigh fat is to run. If you do it for about 30 minutes a day, your metabolism will increase allowing you to burn thigh fat even in your sleep. As you get more and more into shape you can increase the time that you run allowing you to lose leg fat even faster. If you get bored while running you could listen to music, or bring along a couple of friends so that you can all chat while losing thigh fat.
If you aren’t to the level of being able to run for 30 minutes you can always walk to lose leg fat. If you haven’t done any exercise in a while walking is a good place to start. Although, walking is not effective as running, it will still help you lose thigh fat. Walk more and more every day until you feel that you can start running. Take your dog out for a walk and that way both of you can get some exercise in.
Bike riding is a fun, scenic, and efficient way to lose thigh fat. Depending on where you live you can bike through woods, on mountains, or near a body of water. I live right near the Erie Canal, so I just bike on that while I enjoy the fresh air and peace. Cycling up hills, while standing is the best way to lose leg fat because it isolates the legs and makes them work harder. If you are unable to do this outdoors because of weather or whatever, you can always find a bike machine at any gym.
Rollerblading is a fun activity that you can do to burn leg fat. If you don’t know how, learn! You could rollerblade through the park with a couple of friends. Better yet, if you live near a roller rink you can rollerblade there. I’m sure that will be a fun time. Rollerblades tend to be pretty cheap and can get you around faster than walking. They will help you burn more thigh fat than walking too.
Just because you exercise your legs a lot does not mean you will lose weight; you also need to change your diet. Replace all your sodas with water. Reduce the amount of calories you take in. Without burning more calories than you take in you will not lose any thigh fat. Be careful with this though, you do not want to intake 500 calories less than you normally do. That can lead to all kinds of problems, so be sure to keep track of them.
When losing leg fat try to limit the amount of added fats, such as butter, salad dressing, mayo, and others. Also try to get more fiber into your diet because it will reduce the amount of fat your body stores. I know you can get granola bars that have 30 percent of your daily fiber in them. A lot of cereals now have some fiber in them.
