The reason so many people fail to lose weight is because they don’t know how to stay on a diet. They stop the diet very quickly because they don’t see their results fast. They start out great but fail to continue because they are ignorant as how to stay on a diet. The average person lasts six months on a diet before they quit. The fact of the matter is it is very easy to stay on a diet once you know how.

There are many tips and tricks that can teach you how to stay on a diet. Listed below are some of these tips and tricks. Once you master some of these tips you will learn how to stay on a diet better and lose weight more efficiently.

Step 1: Go to your doctor and get a diet program. This will include all the nutrients you will need for your certain height and weight. It will also make sure that nothing interferes with your health.

Step 2: Make sure you keep a log of what you have eaten the entire day. List the calories of what you have eaten and any other nutritional facts you want to write down.

Step 3: Measure whatever you eat correctly. Do not guess your measurements because you may include less or possibly more of what you need. You want exactly what you need and no more.

Step 4: Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This is the healthiest drink you can have when learning how to stay on a diet. One thing you do want to stay away from when drinking is frozen and canned juices. These juices are high in carbohydrates and calories.

Step 5: Learn how to stay on a diet is to eat some fruits right before breakfast. Fruits are not digested easily so they keep your metabolism high throughout the day. Make sure you exercise so it will keep it even higher.

Step 6: Eat smaller meals a day rather than three big meals. About six meals per day is a good amount. Your metabolism will be high because your metabolism is very low when you are hungry. So, make sure you are never hungry by eating smaller meals throughout the day.

Step 7: Learn how to stay on a diet is to make sure your hands are doing something else when watching television. If you are doing something else with your hands then you are less likely to eat while watching television. Break this habit fast.

Step 8: The last step you need to know to stay on a diet is to reward yourself one day of the week. You want to do this because your body will adapt to this change quickly and just store fat again. This way your body will not be completely used to the change and be ready to burn calories the next day.
