Overall, it is great book and highly recommended. Let’s start with the tips that anyone can do. There are tips for each of the different makeups. Below are the applying makeup tips.

Clean the Skin

Make sure that your skin is clean before you start applying makeup.

Applying Foundation

One thing when applying foundation is to apply it downward to avoid impact of facial hair. When you start to apply the foundation put blobs on your hand and apply it that way. Once the foundation starts to dry up fast dot it on your face in sections. Start dotting the foundation on your forehead and go downward from there. Use a damp sponge to blend with the foundation. Keep doing this until you reach your upper neck. If you want a more natural look to your skin, use toner or water to let your skin show through.

Applying Concealer

Concealers do exactly what they sound like. They hide certain spots and they even out your skin tones. They come in all different types of shades to match all different types of skin shades. Concealers are good tools to use to cover up dark spots around the eyes and make your face look even more beautiful.

Make sure when you apply concealers you do it the correct way. Concealers are important because they cover up blemishes, dark spots, marks, or freckles. Before you apply concealer, make sure it is only one shade lighter than your foundation. If you chose the wrong shade then it only makes matters worse, so it is important to get the shade right. When applying, make sure you blend correctly. To do this accurately, make sure you use a fine tipped brush. Use a powder to prevent creasing with concealer.

Applying Eye Shadow

Eye shadow can really draw attention right to your eye. When using eye shadow you should always choose neutral colors to enhance your looks. You must make sure you blend the eye shadow really good so there are no creases in your skin.

First put the lightest color you have beneath the eyebrows to the crease of the eyelid. Next, apply the next darker shade to your upper eyelid. Then, apply the darkest shade in almost the middle of they eyelid. Make sure these colors are blended extremely well. Lastly, apply some eye shadow to the bottom of the eyelid with a fine tipped brush.

Applying Eye Liner

Eyeliner is a great compliment to all kinds of eyes. Eyeliner draws some attention towards the eyes and makes them look more dramatic and expressive. This should be applied after you apply eye shadow but before you apply mascara. The easiest way to apply eyeliner is to use a pencil.

Once you apply the eye shadow you are ready to apply the eyeliner. Make sure you do this with good light and in front of a mirror. Make sure that the color of your eyeliner looks good with your eyes or it will not look good on your face. When you are ready to start, draw a thin line under your eye. You want to start this line in the corner of your eye and work your way outward. To better see what you are doing tilt your head back a small amount and open your eyes halfway. This makes it easier to apply and see what you are doing.

Applying Mascara

Mascara goes on your eyelashes and makes them bolder, which makes your eyes look more beautiful. Mascara makes your lashes longer and adds volume to them.

When you are ready to put on the mascara, start with your upper lashes. First, brush the mascara downwards on your lashes, and then brush the lashes upwards. To prevent the mascara from clogging up on your lashes, use small zigzag movements when applying. Using this technique, apply the mascara to the lower lashes. Do not blink before the mascara has dried. It is best to do two thin coats of mascara than one thick coat because it will look more natural. Once you are finished clean your lashes with a small eyelash brush.

Applying Powder

Powder is essential in applying makeup tips because it helps hold the makeup in place. It also helps the makeup stay shine free. Because the powder holds the makeup in place, it has a longer lasting effect. It highlights your good features and hides the not-so-good features. The best thing to use when applying powder is a brush because it allows the perfect amount of powder to get on the face without over-powdering the face. Powder is a good thing because you can carry it with you and apply it when you think you need it. When applying powder you must get some loose powder on your brush and apply it the same way you apply foundation.

Applying Lipstick

Lipstick is a quick way to give your face some new color to look at. People have been using lipstick for over 5000 years. There is almost every color available for lipstick, which is great for people who like color and variety. When choosing a color of lipstick it is best to go with something that will go with your shade of skin. Do not go for anything dull, go for brighter colors.

The first thing you want to do when applying makeup tips for lipstick is to make sure your lips are not dry. Apply a little bit of moisturizer on your lips and you will be set to start. After they are moisturized, you should apply a small amount of foundation on them. After that, powder them a bit to help the lipstick last longer. Once you have done all of that you can start applying the lipstick. Rest your elbow so you will not mess up and start applying it to the middle of your upper lip. Go from the middle to the outsides. Make sure you open your mouth to get the corners and also make sure to get every small crevice on the surface of your lips. When you are finished blot your lips with a tissue to give it a good look and to make the lipstick last somewhat longer.

Applying Blush

Blush is your last step of applying makeup tips. You would want something that sort of resembles what you look like after you just got done exercising. To start applying blush you want to look in the mirror, get a small amount of blush on the brush, smile, and sweep from your cheekbone to your hairline in an arc motion. Make sure it is blended well. For a more natural look blend a little bit down your cheek. Make sure you never mix your blush with any other makeups. Other things to watch out for is blending it on your nose and getting too much blush on you.
